Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
- When you use TalentMeter on your own, as an individual, aspire2b decides how your data is used and is responsible for it.
- When an organization, such as an employer, college or training provider, invites you to an assessment, that organization decides why your data and results are used and is the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. aspire2b processes the data on its behalf to provide the service.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored only in a scrambled, one-way form), role, and the organization you belong to.
- Profile details you choose to add: photo, headline, current status, location and a short bio.
- Assessment data: your answers, scores, reports, certificates, badges, and when you started and finished each assessment.
- Survey answers you give to an organization that sends you a survey.
- Payment records: the credit pack, amount, date and Razorpay order and payment IDs. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Usage records: sign-in times, the actions taken in an account (an audit log), and basic technical data such as browser type and IP address, kept for security.
3. How we use it
- To create and run your account, deliver assessments, score them, and produce reports and certificates.
- To share your results with the organization that invited you, for the purpose it told you about.
- To process payments and add credits.
- To send emails you need, such as invitations, password resets, results and payment receipts.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and fix problems.
- To improve our assessments and norms, using results that have been combined and cannot identify you.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Consent
Before each assessment you are asked to agree that your answers and results may be processed to assess skills and plan development. You can withdraw consent by stopping the assessment or by asking us or your organization to erase your data. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.
5. Your public profile
Your public profile is off unless you switch it on. When it is on, anyone with the link can see the details you choose to show, such as your name, photo, headline, badges and certificates. You can preview it first, change what it shows, or switch it off at any time from your profile page.
6. Who we share it with
- The organization that invited you, for its own assessments and surveys.
- Service providers that help us run TalentMeter: Render (hosting), Neon (database), Brevo (email) and Razorpay (payments). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside India. Where they do, we choose providers that protect it with appropriate security.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies the service needs: one that keeps you signed in, one that protects forms against misuse, and one that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When an account is closed or a candidate’s data is erased, it is deleted within a reasonable period. Payment and audit records may be kept for longer where tax or other laws require.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with reputable hosting providers. Passwords are stored in a one-way scrambled form, and access to each organization’s data is limited to its own authorised users. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
10. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or have it erased, and you can withdraw your consent. If an organization invited you, you can also ask that organization directly. You may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children
People under 18 may take assessments only when a parent or guardian has given consent, usually through the school, college or organization that invites them. We do not track children or show them advertising.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version and its date are always shown on this page, and we will tell account holders about significant changes by email or in the app.
